    Why does one file cost more than another?

    Because bigger and longer files take more work to process. Credits track that work — size, page count, and length — so you only pay for what your file actually needs.

    A one-page PDF costs a single credit; a two-hour video costs more. You always see the exact cost before you start, and that price will not increase after processing begins.

    Do I need an account to use Extract.FAST?

    No. You can start extracting immediately with no sign-up required, and the Free limits apply either way.

    How do credits work for multi-file tasks?

    Each file in a task costs credits individually. Task limits vary by tier: Free (25 files), Pro (1000 files).

    What happens if my extraction fails?

    You will not be charged for failed extractions. Credits are automatically refunded for any job that fails.

    How long are my extracted files available?

    All extracted files are automatically deleted about 1 hour after the job finishes for security and privacy. You can also manually delete files immediately after downloading.

    Can I extract from files with sensitive content?

    Yes. Most extraction runs on EU infrastructure. Files are encrypted at rest, deleted after processing, and never used for AI training. AI transcription and map reports may use vetted processors as described in our security policy.
